Expertise & Method

Foreign-trade practice + negotiation methodology

My approach rests on two pillars: industry expertise in sourcing, logistics, and customs — and a systematic negotiation school. Below is what each is built from.

(01)

Education

Logistics

Admiral Nevelskoy Maritime State University, Vladivostok

A degree in logistics — the foundation for practical work with supply chains, transportation, and customs clearance.

Finance, MBA

RANEPA, Moscow

A finance degree and an MBA program — a managerial and financial view of business, not just operational logistics.

Negotiation

Tallinn School of Managers (V.K. Tarasov)

A systematic methodology of managerial struggle and negotiation — a framework for analyzing a negotiation situation and choosing a strategy.

Negotiation

Training with Igor Ryzov

Practical techniques for hard negotiations and handling manipulation — directly relevant to working with foreign suppliers.

(02)

Negotiation as a working method

For me, negotiation isn't a one-off skill for tough meetings — it's a working tool applied at every stage of a deal, from first contact with a supplier to the final delivery terms.

I use negotiation methodology to: map out each side's interests and alternatives in advance, define the real limits of concessions, recognize manipulative tactics from foreign partners, and preserve long-term supplier relationships instead of a one-off bargaining win.

This applies not only to supplier negotiations, but also to internal negotiations — with a bank, a customs broker, or a logistics partner.

(03)

Key competencies

(01)

Import activity audit

Review of current sourcing and logistics processes with concrete improvement recommendations.

(02)

International negotiations

Preparing positions, supporting meetings, and communicating with foreign suppliers and partners.

(03)

Buyer team training

Systematic transfer of negotiation techniques and industry knowledge to a client's procurement team.

(04)

Customs classification

Hands-on experience with documentation and commodity classification under the customs tariff nomenclature.

(05)

Supplier qualification

Evaluating and selecting foreign factories and traders, RFQs, and counterparty reliability checks.

(06)

Logistics and routing

Understanding of China-Russia and other delivery routes, timelines, and cost estimation.
